July was a good month money-wise. We started off at the beach which we saved for and actually came in under budget. Then, I unexpectedly got a series of bonuses at work that contributed to us being able to pay above what we usually do AND pay for some unfortunate maintenance for my vehicle. We didn’t even touch our savings. I won’t go into much detail on the headache that was the car situation, but thankfully it has been resolved. I did cry at one point and I’m not a crier, so there was a level of stress I rarely reach that took place. *deep breaths* I’m usually chill and calm even in crisis, but I have my limits.
I will say this. If you notice a musty smell in your car, water IS getting in somehow. If you find water in your floor boards and you have a sunroof, it is most likely your drain lines or the seal on your sun roof. This can happen in brand new cars and older vehicles. It took calling 7 places and leaving it at 3 different repair shops before anyone actually fixed the issue. Wasted time and effort is probably was upped the level of frustration for me. But now I know and now YOU know what to look for if it happens to you. If you are in the Birmingham area and want to know the name of the shop that actually did the corrective repairs, contact me and I’ll be glad to give you their info. They were so helpful that I wanted to hug the guy at the front desk.
